  1. I think your discussion of using “Do Not Disturb” as an option forgets those of us in infrastructure support. There’s no such thing as an okay time for the network to go down (or the email server, or the ERP, or Blackboard/LMS in educational settings), so my notifications are always on. Our best hope is a policy something like this French law, and then having text alerts of other methods to find out when something is actually down and we have to respond in a timely fashion.
