This advice follows a federal judge’s ruling that chats with Anthropic’s Claude were not privileged, reinforcing that AI tools are not lawyers. While some judicial opinions differ—such as a case treating ChatGPT chats as personal work-product—the guidance remains consistent: do not discuss your case with anyone but your lawyer, including AI, until legal standards are clearer.
