New features include an intelligent search tool, improved coordination with its mobile apps, and a bulk uploader that allows the user to send as many as a half million photos into the cloud to take advantage of that free terabyte of photo storage.

We start with a gaming announcement you all have been waiting for a long time. Snake is coming back to phones, iOS, Android and Windows Phone this Thursday. Also there was something about headgear. Headset? Oculus Rift? That’s it. Apparently it ill be available pre-order later this year and ship by March 2016. Seems a long time away to get excited. Also it will be better than the last prototype. And E3 is coming. I don’t know why Oculus felt they needed to tell you E3 is coming, wouldn’t that be E3’s job?

The Washington Post reports Google says more of its search requests are done on mobile devices than PCs in Japan, the US and 8 other countries. The milestone was announced at a digital advertising conference Tuesday. Google wouldn’t put numbers to any of the claims. The company processes more than 100 billion search requests worldwide each month. Google also claimed its mobile ad prices have been steadily climbing and will continue to do so. Google’s average ad prices have been declining for the past three-and-half years.

The BBC reports on Facebook’s announcement that it will open its Internet.org program to all developers who meet certain criteria. Internet.org allows mobile users to access certain services without incurring data charges. Net neutrality advocates in INdia have accused the service of picking winners and losers. In response Internet.org will allow developers to join if the service is not data-intensive, can run on feature phones as well as smartphones, and encourages exploartion of the broader Internet.

Headlines: 

Last night Tesla announced batteries for home and business. The Tesla PowerWall is a 400 volt lithium-iON battery pack available to installers for $3500 at 10 kWh and $3,000 at 7 kWh. It takes 60-90 minutes on average to install the 6-inch thick 220 pound battery which can go on walls inside or out. The Powerwall comes with a 10 year warranty and you can pre-order now for delivery later this summer. SolarCity told Fortune it would sell the 10 kWH pack for $5,000 including installation and AC converter. Tesla also announced the Tesla Powerpack, a 100 kWh battery for larger utilities and enterprises available for $250 per kWh.

Ars Technica reports Microsoft announced the release of two open source libraries called Windows Remote Arduino and Windows Virtual Shield for Arduino. The libraries let Arduinos connect to Windows 10 devices. The idea is to connect an Arduino controlled camera to the cloud or take advantage of the sensors in a Lumia phone. Microsoft also released a preview of Windows 10 IoT Core for the Raspberry Pi 2.

Google announced a Patent Purchase Promotion today in an effort to supposedly remove friction from the patent market and apparently try to keep patents out of the hands of trolls. Anyone who has a US patent can list their patent for sale between May 8th and May 22. After the close of the market Google will let sellers know if they’re interested by June 26th, finish up the details by July 22 and pay out by late August. Patent sellers set the sale price and get a license back tot heir patent.
