  1. Greetings!

I just got done listening to Episode 2618/November 5, and would to indicate the broader issues with social media. Stock problems, from ‘no privacy allowed’ designs to 4Chan’s existence, are the usual fodder for think pieces perpetrated by said social outlets. While the perpetual battering of user’s self-worth was mentioned, what no one seems to discuss are the hours spent in legitimate wastes, i.e. friends feeds.

I took a hiatus from it all earlier this year, and was astounded at just how much I got *done*. I even had time enough to play video games for the first time in forever. I’m now making it an annual tradition, and thereby hope not to kill myself this holiday season.

P.S. Benjamin Walker did a breakdown of all that’s wrong with social media in his ‘Dislike Club’ series last year.
