This was a really fun episode!
I had a DAK midsize speaker for over 20 years. People were always surprised that such good sound came out of them.
The 386 pc’s were as good/bad as any other grey box of the time hardware wise.
“Free hand” scanner was same as the the name brand of the time. which is to say passable.
Thing was, the costs on all these was at least half of regular prices of regular outlets.
