  1. Tom and the DTNS team,

In regards to your comments about who still uses fax machines, I would like to point out that many medical offices rely on faxes for sending and receiving patient information. This is because of HIPAA regulations and the fact that faxing is a known technology which is secure enough to meet HIPAA requirements. Considering that millions of dollars have been awarded in HIPAA privacy violation cases (http://thehealthcareblog.com/blog/2013/09/06/a-new-way-to-sue-health-care-professionals-using-hipaa/), it is understandable why medical professionals would rely on an old yet trusted technology like fax.

Full disclosure: The Neal Eggeson referred to and quoted in the blog article I linked to is my sister-in-law’s husband. 😀

  2. Tom, Regarding the YouTube problem on Monday, you’re not the only one that had that issue. I listen to another podcast that had the exact same problem with their video from hangouts that when posted to Youtbue, was all choppy and disjointed like your video. Something on YouTube was broken across the board it seemed on Monday.
